- Esther treats Ishmael as if he were his brother and she gives him presents and talks about optimistic things only to him.

- One thing I learned about my family is that are ancestors are from Japan, France, and Italy.

- Concerns- be of interest or importance to.
- Reuniting- to unite again, as after separation.
- Repatriated- to send back to one's own country.
